Spring into Katzingers for a Spring Infused Tasting!

The warmer weather, sunshine and blossoming daffodils have given Wendy inspiration for a luscious Spring Tasting on Wednesday, April 21 at 6:30PM.

We will taste Lucky Penny Chevre, Queso de la Serena and Pecorino Toscano with Rhubharb Virginia Chutney and our own Curried Pecans as accompaniments.

We’ll dig into some of the best parts of Spring: Asparagus “fries” served with a tangy Lemon Aioli, Lamb Meatballs with Mint Pesto, Sweet Pea Bruschetta with Prosciutto, and Majoub’s Artichoke Spread with shaved Parmesan Bruschetta.

Ken Harvey from Cutting Edge will be here to guide us as we taste Vinho Verde from Portugal-A light wine that’s like a glass of Fresca and Shaya Verdejo, a Spanish white with lots of citrus and lemon flavor (both perfect with the Spring bounty) and four other wines that will that will make this a tasting not to miss.

Excitement! Dine Originals Week begins Monday, March 8 and we have created a scrumptious menu. For only $10.10 you choose sandwiches with either meat (loaf, oh mama!), turkey or vegetarian fillings. Trust me when I tell you you’ll be back for Seth’s addictive homemade sweet potato chips available only this week. Our classic fudgie brownie rounds out your meal. Here’s our menu:

The Columbus Marathon is this Sunday, October 18 and it goes right by the deli. Join us to cheer the runners while sipping coffee, hot tea or hot chocolate (FREE ‘til noon). Be sure you nibble on Steve’s freshly made scones and sticky buns. We’re opening at 8:00 so you can arrive before race time at 3r^rd and Livingston (anticipated 8:23). View the course map. And, in celebration of Katzinger’s 25^th Anniversary, it is also FREE CAKE DAY (yes, with purchase). We are looking forward to sharing our delicious homemade cake with all our guests.
