Details of this spectacular evening are below – buy your tickets soon and the evening can still serve as a Valentine’s Day gift!

Oh yes, it is time for Katzinger’s annual exceptionally, intoxicating  Chocolate and Wine tasting.  To enhance the excitement, this year we will introduce two new chocolates –  organic Moonstruck (perfect name) from Oregon and artisan Askinosie (used by Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream) from Missouri.   We are thrilled to have these new chocolates to share along with five favorites in a flavor assortment of white, milk, semi-sweet and bitter sweet.

Wendy and Allison will take you down the chocolate path accompanied by Ken Harvey of Cutting Edge wines.  Each wine is chosen to perfectly enhance the flavor of each chocolate creating a whole new profile for your taste buds (and head and heart) to experience.  This is a beautiful – sexy even – tasting for you to share with a partner or friend. What a wonderful Valentine’s Day gift!

The tasting will be held at Katzinger’s, 475 S. 3rd Street, 43215 on Thursday, February 9 at 6:30. You can make your $21 prepaid reservation at the deli or by calling us at 614-228-3354.

We will sample America’s Southern Comfort with Andouille, bit of the American All Beef Hot Dog, a little spice with Spanish Chorizo, traditional German Bratwurst, Boudin Noir (French Blood Sausage), French Duck Sausage, and a spicy North African lamb sausage called Merguez all washed down with sure to please assortment of beers.
Call 614-228-3354 to reserve your prepaid $21 reservation.  All sausages used will be available for purchase at 20% off for tasters only.  Beer will be available for purchase also. We hope you will join us!

Spring into Katzingers for a Spring Infused Tasting!

The warmer weather, sunshine and blossoming daffodils have given Wendy inspiration for a luscious Spring Tasting on Wednesday, April 21 at 6:30PM.

We will taste Lucky Penny Chevre, Queso de la Serena and Pecorino Toscano with Rhubharb Virginia Chutney and our own Curried Pecans as accompaniments.

We’ll dig into some of the best parts of Spring: Asparagus “fries” served with a tangy Lemon Aioli, Lamb Meatballs with Mint Pesto, Sweet Pea Bruschetta with Prosciutto, and Majoub’s Artichoke Spread with shaved Parmesan Bruschetta.

Ken Harvey from Cutting Edge will be here to guide us as we taste  Vinho Verde from Portugal-A light wine that’s like a glass of Fresca and Shaya Verdejo, a Spanish white with lots of citrus and lemon flavor (both perfect with  the Spring bounty) and four other wines that will that will make this a tasting not to miss.

All this for $25 per person. Call today to make your prepaid reservations at 614.228.3354
